About The Travel Show

The Travel Show is broadcast every Saturday and features an interview with a travel industry expert about an overseas holiday destination, together with a round-up of that week’s international travel news.
The Travel Show is presented and produced by Simon McNeill-Ritchie, CEO and co-founder of Radio Bath CIO, a registered charity (no. 1193978) broadcasting 24/7 under a commercial Digital Audio Broadcasting (DAB) licence and online. Radio Bath CIO is a highly innovative model seeking to restore Independent Local Radio to our towns and cities on a sustainable, volunteer basis.

What we’re looking for

• Organised and creative individuals with good communication skills.
• An interest in media, broadcasting and/or storytelling.
• Experience in radio production or editing is helpful, but not essential – full training will be provided.
• Reliability and commitment to a regular schedule (minimum 3 hours per week).
• Team players who enjoy problem-solving and working behind the scenes.

Ready to get started?

The programme runs from July to February, with multiple start dates available throughout this period. Each cohort is limited to 6 to 8 participants, ensuring everyone receives personalised support. Over six weeks, you’ll take part in two-hour sessions every Tuesday and Thursday, giving you plenty of opportunities to build your skills, confidence and experience.

About the programme

The Youth Guarantee Trailblazer programme, delivered by Radio Bath, supports young people aged 18 to 21 to develop new skills, gain practical experience, and progress into employment. The programme is funded through the West of England Youth Guarantee Trailblazer initiative.
