Wiltshire Council broadcasting live public COVID-19 update on 2 March

Wiltshire Council is hosting another of its live public webinars to talk people through the latest COVID-19 information and take residents’ questions.

The council’s COVID-19 Public Update takes place on 2 March from 5.30pm. The live briefing will be broadcast via Microsoft Teams. Viewers should use this link on 2 March to access the webinar https://bit.ly/2ZHeWIz

Wiltshire Council Leader Cllr Philip Whitehead will be joined by Terence Herbert, Chief Executive of Wiltshire Council, and Kate Blackburn, Director of Public Health for Wiltshire, to help guide people through the latest information and regulations.

The broadcast will be an opportunity to hear about the latest rates of COVID-19 cases in Wiltshire, the arrangements in place to mitigate the spread of the virus and how the council is continuing to support residents and businesses at this time.

Residents can submit their questions about COVID-19 and the local response in advance by emailing communications@wiltshire.gov.uk no later than 12 noon on Monday 1 March.

The briefing will also be recorded and available via the Wiltshire Council YouTube channel as soon as possible afterwards (search for Wiltshire Council on YouTube).

Cllr Philip Whitehead said: “Following the recent Government’s announcement on the plans to gradually start easing some of the national lockdown restrictions, we hope this broadcast will help clarify the latest details.

“There is plenty to update on, and I would urge people to send in any questions in advance so that the broadcast is as helpful and informative for them as possible.”
