Remembrance events with Bath branch of The Grenadier Guards Association

The Bath Branch of the Grenadier Guards Association will be hosting a Remembrance Parade at 11am on Monday 11th November, starting in Firs Field, The Avenue, Combe Down, Bath, BA2 5EG.

The parade will start at 10:30hrs in the small car park on The Firs, Combe Down to march to the War Memorial for 10:50hrs.
If you are currently serving personnel, a Veteran or someone who would like to attend the parade and service please feel free to come along and join them.  Anyone is welcome who would like to help us commemorate the fallen from all conflicts.

They will be accompanied by The Bishop of the Clifton Diocese and a representative from the Mayor of Bath’s office and the pupils from Combe Down Primary School who will play an active part in the parade and service. If you are either serving or a Veteran, if you are able, would you kindly wear a beret and medals.

The group ask that following the parade, veterans or serving military persons remain at the memorial site for the pupils to engage with you and maybe ask questions about your service. This gives pupils a valuable opportunity to learn from you.

Members of the Bath Branch Grenadier Guards Association will also be attending the Routes of Remembrance – Poppy Train event, which is usually hosted by representatives from BANES Council and the Lord-Lieutenant of Somerset.

They will be placing a wreath on the GWR train from Penzance to Paddington station which stops at all stations on the journey to Paddington to collect wreaths, which will eventually be laid along with many others at the War Memorial in Paddington Station platform 1. It would be good if other veterans or family members could attend Bath Spa in support of this event.
