Dorothy House’s Santa and Elf Run returns for 2023!

Spread some festive cheer and raise money for an amazing charity by taking part in the Dorothy House Santa and Elf run!

On December 3rd 2023, Dorothy House’s beloved annual charity event will return so don’t miss out and book your place today. The Santa and Elf run is suitable for all ages and takes place along a 2.5km course through the grounds of Dorothy House and beyond.

Participants will be provided with an elf hat or Santa costume depending on age, and refreshments will be provided as well. Adult participants are asked to raise at least £30 in sponsorship or make a similar donation.

Last year, Dorothy House raised over £17,000 for the Hospice staff, allowing them to deliver outstanding care to patients and families across Bath and Wiltshire. Over £6000 of this was raised by Kevin, his family, and his colleagues. At the time, Kevin was under the care of Dorothy House and wanted to do something special for the hospice.

Carolyn, Kevin’s wife, had this to say about the event:

“When my husband Kevin was told he only had weeks left he wanted to do something to raise money for Dorothy House. We saw the Santa and Elf Run on their website and thought that was perfect, and maybe we’d raise a couple of hundred pounds! […] The couple of hundred pounds we hoped we’d raise turned into thousands, but even if you think you can’t raise much money, just taking part all counts, it’s a very special way to spend a morning in December!”

Don’t miss out on this lovely festive event! Signing up is essential and there is a small entry fee. Runners under 16 must be accompanied by an adult.
