Blog Started Featuring Picturesque Bridgertoni Valentines Day Walk.
Amy Shawcross, a Bath resident with two young children, has started a blog of simple walks to take around Bath.
The blog was started when Shawcross moved to Bath three years ago and struggled to find places where she was able to walk and push a buggy at the same time. As she began to find new routes, she wrote down her findings so, combined with her desire for a creative outlet, her blog was started.
Shawcross has recently written a blog post for a ‘Brigerton Valentines Day Walk’. This walk begins in the Victoria Park car park. From there, you can take in the gorgeous Georgian architecture of the Royal Cresent and let children play on the grass. The walk then takes you down through the Royal Circus and past the Assembly Rooms to the heart of Bath. All the places you will pass on the route were used for filming spots in the Netflix show Bridgerton. The walk will then take you past the pump rooms and all the way to the Holburne Museum and back to Victoria Park car park.
In total, the walk is approximately 4km and takes anywhere from an hour to an hour and a half to complete, depending on whether you stop for coffee and cake or not. The great thing about this walk is that it’s circular so you can get back to your car to drive home at the end or begin the walk anywhere along the route that suits you. It’s a lovely valentines city walk in a peaceful city where you can view Bath through the lens of the regency era seen in Bridgerton. You can also take the back streets if you’d prefer not to walk along the main streets; it’s completely customisable.
Shawcross was inspired by the outdoors and hopes that her blog will inspire others to go out and enjoy nature.
