Bath City Farm to begin fundraiser

From the 1st of November 2022, Bath City Farm will launch a crowdfunding campaign to raise money to maintain the farm and look after the animals.

The farm, located in Whiteway, Bath, is asking the public and farm supporters to help raise £30,000 in order to cover running costs and keep the site free at point of access. Bath City farm helps around 800 people a year through targeted therapeutic programs and, for many, is a place to recover and rebuild a healthy lifestyle. Demand for the farm’s services has never been higher since the COVID-19 pandemic began, and with the current cost of living crisis it provides a fun day out for low-income families. Visitors can also enjoy the 37-acre site, ponds, and play areas. The money raised by the fundraiser will go towards managing the site, animal care costs such as food and vet bills, and covering rising energy costs.

Bath City Farm has recently begun to offer a Roots to Work program, providing work experience opportunities for people who need support to enter the jobs market and build their skills. They are also hoping to increase the amount of food grown on the farm to sell in the new cafe and farm shop. The farm also offers a free under 5’s group for local families and a programme for young people who are in need of an alternative to mainstream education. With your support, Bath City Farm can continue to offer these vital services and so much more.
