Wild Flour Cake Company has been named the winner of Bath Dragons 2026, following a competitive live final that showcased some of the region’s most promising businesses.

The annual competition, organised by Richardson Swift, Mogers Drewett, South West Business Finance and The Business Exchange, brings together ambitious local entrepreneurs to compete for a package of funding and professional support designed to help accelerate growth.

This year’s finalists were:

  • Wild Flour Cake Company
  • Nuditea
  • CaliUnity
  • Sporting Sensations

The live final was formally opened by the Lord-Lieutenant of Somerset, with the winner announced by Cllr Kevin Guy, Deputy Leader of the West of England Combined Authority. The High Sheriff of Somerset was also in attendance.

The event attracted representatives from across the Bath and North East Somerset business community, including Invest in B&NES, Bath BID, Bath Spa University Business School, WECA, Business West, the University of Bath School of Management and Bath Building Society. Radio Bath was proud to support the initiative.

Each finalist delivered a live pitch to the Bath Dragons panel and audience, highlighting the innovation, resilience and entrepreneurial spirit driving local business growth.

Sporting Sensations founder Chris Pile shared the personal story behind his business and the positive impact it has had on young people across the region, earning praise from judges and securing second place.

CaliUnity reflected on how community fitness sessions launched during lockdown helped support a man struggling with his mental health, an experience that helped shape the organisation’s mission as a Community Interest Company.

Nuditea introduced its vision for bringing iced tea lattes to market, presenting a fresh take on a growing drinks category.

Ultimately, it was Wild Flour Cake Company that impressed the judges most. Founder Jessica Langford-Snape demonstrated a strong track record of growth, a clear business strategy and ambitious plans for the future, including investment in new premises and equipment to increase production capacity.

As the winner, Wild Flour Cake Company receives a £25,000 prize package comprising £5,000 in cash and £20,000 worth of professional support covering legal, financial, tax, PR and communications expertise.

Dan Smith, Co-founder of South West Business Finance, said:
