Summer Lates return to the Roman Baths with evening openings, music and torchlit tours

The Roman Baths are once again opening into the evening this summer, giving visitors the chance to experience one of Bath’s most iconic landmarks in a completely different light.
Running from 20 July to 31 August, Summer Lates extends opening hours until 10pm daily, offering a relaxed after hours atmosphere as the historic site is illuminated by soft torchlight.
As dusk falls, the Great Bath takes on a magical ambience, allowing visitors to explore the ancient site and museum at a gentler pace. Your admission ticket includes full access to both the Roman Baths and museum, with optional guided evening tours available at 6pm and 7pm.
On Mondays to Thursdays, guests can enjoy quieter evenings complete with a bath side bar, creating the perfect setting to unwind after a day exploring the city.
The weekends bring a lively musical backdrop. On Fridays and Saturdays, vinyl DJs curated by Bath Carnival, with technical production from POLYMATHIC, will provide an eclectic soundtrack featuring funk, soul, Latin jazz and global grooves.
On Sundays, the atmosphere becomes more intimate with live acoustic performances curated by 7 Hills Festival, showcasing both established musicians and emerging local talent.
The Roman Baths were once the social heart of Roman Bath, where people gathered to relax, meet friends and enjoy the city’s famous thermal waters. Summer Lates continues that tradition by transforming the historic site into one of Bath’s most unique evening destinations.
Visitors are encouraged to allow at least an hour to explore the museum before making their way to the torchlit Great Bath, where the evening atmosphere is at its most striking.
For those travelling into the city, Bath Park & Ride services operate until 11.30pm Monday to Saturday, making it easy to extend your day in Bath.
Summer Lates runs at the Roman Baths until 31 August, with evening entry available every day.
