Ralf Little stars in first-ever stage adaptation of John le Carré novel

John le Carré’s classic spy novel The Spy Who Came In From The Cold is being brought to the stage for the first time, with Ralf Little taking a starring role.

Best known for The Royle Family and Death in Paradise, Little leads the cast in a new adaptation of one of le Carré’s most celebrated works.

Set against the backdrop of the Cold War, The Spy Who Came In From The Cold explores the shadowy world of espionage, deception and moral compromise that became synonymous with le Carré’s writing.

The production marks the first time one of the author’s novels has been adapted for the stage. Le Carré, who died in 2020, was one of Britain’s most influential spy novelists, with works including Tinker Tailor Soldier Spy and The Night Manager also becoming hugely successful television and film adaptations.

Directed by Jeremy Herrin, the new stage production has already attracted four-star reviews from several national publications, with critics praising its tense and atmospheric treatment of the story.

The Spy Who Came In From The Cold, starring Ralf Little, offers audiences the chance to experience le Carré’s world of Cold War intrigue in a completely new form.
