Queer Bath returns for a month-long celebration of LGBTQ+ culture and history in June

Queer Bath is set to return throughout June 2026, bringing a vibrant programme of events celebrating LGBTQ+ arts, culture, heritage and history across the city.
Running from 1 to 30 June, the initiative brings together many of Bath’s best-known cultural institutions and historic venues, offering opportunities to explore queer stories that have helped shape the city’s past and present.
Visitors can expect a diverse programme of exhibitions, talks, workshops, performances, guided tours and heritage trails, with archives and collections revealing previously untold stories from Bath’s LGBTQ+ community.
Among the highlights is comedian Ania Magliano’s new show Peach Fuzz at Komedia on Monday 1 June. Fresh from appearing on the latest series of Taskmaster, Magliano brings her trademark blend of sharp observations, confessions and comedy to Bath audiences.
History enthusiasts can also enjoy a special event exploring the life and legacy of designer Oliver Messel. Taking place at Bath Assembly Rooms on Friday 5 June, National Trust curator Dr Emily Roy will examine Messel’s connections to Bath and his place within wider cultural and LGBTQ+ history.
Queer Bath aims to shine a light on stories that have often been overlooked, creating opportunities for residents and visitors alike to engage with the city’s rich and diverse heritage through a contemporary lens.
The month-long programme forms part of a growing commitment across Bath’s cultural sector to celebrate inclusion, representation and community through arts and heritage.
Events take place at venues across the city throughout June, with individual booking details available through participating organisations.
