The Robins went four nil down at Colchester United inside 38 minutes after a own goal from top goalscorer Harry Smith after 9 minutes set the U's on their way. In League One Bristol Rovers lost three nil at relegation struggling Leyton Orient and now have a relegation battle of their own going into the Christmas and New Year period of games. The Gas are 15th but are worryingly only three points above the bottom four clubs.
