New Moonlight Memory Walk coming to Bath in support of Children’s Hospice South West
Bath will host a new Moonlight Memory Walk this November, bringing people together to remember loved ones while raising funds for Children’s Hospice South West.
Taking place on Saturday 14 November, the evening will see participants follow a scenic 5km illuminated route through Bath, with live music and opportunities to pause and remember along the way.
The walk begins at Bath Cricket Club on North Parade Bridge Road, with the event running from 6.45pm to 9.30pm.
Organised by Children’s Hospice South West (CHSW), the Moonlight Memory Walk is open to anyone who has lost someone they hold in their heart, whether or not their family has previously received support from the charity.
Participants are encouraged to raise £60 in sponsorship. CHSW says that amount could fund a support session for a bereaved sibling, helping them explore and understand their emotions.
Registration includes a welcome pack with a candle bag to decorate, an ‘I am walking in memory of’ sign, an online dedication, event T-shirt and a bespoke Moonlight Memory Walk medal.
There is also an online dedication page where people can share the name, photograph and a personal message for someone they wish to remember, including those who are unable to attend the walk itself.
CHSW supports children and young people with life-limiting conditions and their families across the South West through its three children’s hospices, including Charlton Farm near Bristol, which supports families from the Bath area.
The charity is also looking for volunteers to help on the night, with roles including participant registration, route marshals and supporting walkers along the route.
Moonlight Memory Walk Bath 2026 takes place on Saturday 14 November from 6.45pm.
