Inn The Sticks expands with two new country pubs near Bath

Independent pub group Inn The Sticks has expanded its portfolio with the acquisition of two village pubs, including one just outside Bath.
The locally owned business has recently taken over The Bull at Hinton, located south of Bath near the M4, before adding The King’s Arms at Didmarton, near Malmesbury, to its growing collection.
Founded by Mark Florey and Mark Holton, Inn The Sticks already operates several popular pubs in the Chippenham area, including The Langley Tap in Langley Burrell, The Neeld Arms in Grittleton and The Wellesley Arms in Sutton Benger.
The group says it plans to carry out a sympathetic refurbishment at The King’s Arms, with improvements to both the interior and guest accommodation while preserving the character of the historic village pub.
In a statement, Inn The Sticks described The King’s Arms as a “much-loved village pub with real history and enormous potential”, adding that it aims to support the existing team while introducing the seasonal food, welcoming atmosphere and carefully considered interiors that have become the group’s trademark.
The company is well known for restoring traditional country pubs with a blend of classic charm and contemporary comfort, with founders Mark Florey and Mark Holton personally designing the interiors of each venue.
The expansion reflects continued investment in the region’s hospitality sector and brings two more village pubs into the growing Inn The Sticks family, with refurbishment work expected to enhance the experience for both local residents and visitors alike.
