High Sheriff of Somerset Launches Special Charity Race Day at Wincanton

A special charity race day is set to take place at Wincanton Racecourse later this year, raising vital funds to support vulnerable children across Somerset.

Organised by the High Sheriff of Somerset, Peter Dixon, in partnership with the Eloise and Katie Memorial Trust, the event will take place on Sunday 25 October and promises a memorable day of racing, hospitality and fundraising.

Guests will be welcomed with a drinks reception before enjoying a three-course lunch in a private marquee hosted by the High Sheriff. The day will also feature expert racing commentary and conclude with a traditional cream tea in the afternoon.

Tickets are available at £120 per person, with tables of ten priced at £1,200. Children are welcome to attend free of charge, making it an ideal family event during the final weekend of the half-term break.

Businesses and organisations are also being invited to support the event through sponsorship opportunities. Options range from sponsoring elements of the day such as drinks, catering or table decorations, through to race sponsorship packages.

Race sponsorship costs £3,000 and includes a table for ten guests, the opportunity to name a race, present the trophy to the winning connections and receive a promotional page within the official race card.

Speaking about the event, organisers say the aim is to raise much-needed funds for projects supporting vulnerable children while bringing the community together for a special day at the races.

Tickets and further information are available here.

The charity race day takes place at Wincanton Racecourse on Sunday 25 October.
