Diabetes Health Awareness Event in Bath – 25th October 2025

Aug 19, 2025 | Events

The Diabetic Eye Screening Programme for the BaNES region has teamed up with HealthWatch BaNES to host a special Diabetes Health Awareness Event on Saturday 25th October 2025 at Southdown Methodist Church.

This free, public drop-in event will bring together a range of diabetes and wellbeing services, specialists, and community groups, all ready to offer support, education, and practical advice.

Visitors can:

  • Speak directly with health professionals and local organisations.

  • Pick up information on diabetes care, prevention, and general wellbeing.

  • Join in with cookery demonstrations from Bath Community Kitchen.

  • Explore activities with the local football academy, including their Man v Fat programme.

The event is informal and welcoming – people can stay for as long as they like, chat with as many specialists as they want, and even enjoy some light refreshments. Past events have seen people stay for hours, making the most of the opportunity to learn and connect.

It’s not just for those living with diabetes – everyone is welcome. It’s also a great chance for health professionals to network and share best practice.
