Bath Film Festival returns this October with ten days of cinema across the city

Film lovers can look forward to another packed programme this autumn as the Bath Film Festival returns for its 36th edition.
Running from Friday 16 October to Sunday 25 October, the festival will bring more than 50 films, special events and immersive experiences to venues across Bath, transforming the city into a hub for cinema enthusiasts.
Known for showcasing some of the year’s most anticipated releases ahead of their general cinema debut, Bath Film Festival has built a reputation for giving audiences the opportunity to discover award contenders, independent productions and international films before they reach wider audiences.
This year’s festival will once again make use of a variety of venues across the city, from Bath’s historic buildings to unexpected and unique spaces, creating memorable cinematic experiences beyond the traditional cinema setting.
Alongside film screenings, visitors can expect a programme of special events designed to celebrate the art of filmmaking and bring audiences closer to the stories on screen.
Now in its 36th year, the festival remains one of Bath’s longest running cultural events, attracting film fans from across the South West and beyond.
Further details, including the full programme, ticket information and special events, will be announced by organisers in the lead up to the festival.
The Bath Film Festival takes place from 16 to 25 October 2026.
